Good Morning
I have a problem with my transit 2.5di i had fuel pump problem so i sent it if recon it came back i rebuilt it to find it low on power i checked the timing and it was out on the flywheel corrected it and van ran was ok for a little while. After a long day it had power loss and juddering the same happened again on a long journey after lifting off from 75mph to 50mph to leave the motorway by time i got to the lights at the junction its was juddering and running on three i got the air cleared and it ran again. I noticed the pump had small leak so i stripped it down and sent it back to the recon place who checked it over and it turned out the boost seal was leaking so was all replaced under warranty. Now the pumps back i have rebuilt the van back up but it does not want to run i have bled it all up and she fires and runs lumpy upon cracking injectors i can see 4,3,2 take a while to start firing the diesel out it just foaming once it fires out i lock the nut back up the revs will then increase and she begins to run once i lower the revs she conks out dead and then is a real pain to start i have to go back and open the injectors etc to repeat the whole process again. Also wen it does stop running there is a noise of like air in there if i crack any pipes at any location at this point you hear air being released and gargling sounds. I did notice i had oil coming from the lift pump nut will need to check again if is top or bottom i have checked the pipe from lift pump to filter for cracks there were none. I am going to check filter housing today but am really lost to why it is running like this i thought it was fuel pump but as say is fully recon and already been back once. Any help will be greatly appreciated also i noticed when i bleed the pump from the 14mm nut n the side its not firing out its dribbling imo after 30secs or more of cranking last night it must of only filled my 2 litre pop bottle i had cut the top off by 1” if that doesn't shoot out of there as it did previously.
Thanks Mike
