Can anyone tell me where I can get a replacement exhaust manifold or can the old ones be repaired (welded) ? I am in Australia (Queensland)

Not sure yet if it is correct one. They have the transit described as a vg and the parts for a vg and vf are very similar but they say that it is a 1998 2.0 litre diesel. The photo of the engine layout looks very different to mine. Have e mailed them for confirmation.

There wasn't a 2.0 Diesel in the Transit until the 2000 onwards model - and that front wheel drive.

The exhaust manifold is the same on all the 2.5TD variants regardless off power*/age/inlet arrangement etc from 1991-2000

*115PS models have a 115 cast in to the manifold - but appear to be the same. They may not be though

There was some differences is the air intake manifold on certain 2.5td but they are the same engine

Turbo, egrs, inlet manifolds, pipework etc - there are several variants. But with the exception of the 115PS model (see above) the actual exhaust manifold is the same on all TDs

it ties in with the inlet manfold...

But there are some differances in the compressor housings. I have had them where they go straight to a flexi hose and others where there is a flange type arrangement that needs a clamp to secure to the next part of the pipe.

I haven't worked out where they were fitted yet - but have had to change compressor housings because of this in the past.

Thank you for all the excellent feedback. Kings park pick and payless are not the best at answering phone or e mails. I will persevere. Can my original be tig welded using an aluminium bronze filler rod?

The Di manifold is a pretty good quality casting and this guy had no trouble mig welding his :wink:

Is it easy to remove the exhaust manifold? I have a van that I have for parts and if it's easy to remove I'd be happy to sell.
