Turbo

Hi,
I'm looking at buying the components for fitting a turbo to my 1989 Travelhome.
I can see that Bosch 145/6 pumps are the ones to go as the Lucas ones are electronically controlled - that is the 'epic' version. Having looked I have what I believe is the Lucas Vac but I can't find much information on this.
Is this one also manual control and can be easily done on this pump?
