pressure release valve pinto engine

the pressure release vale keeps blowing depositing oil all over the place, anyone got any ideas where to start looking for the fault

It could be blocked ? then the pressure will have to get out by blowing it out? does the ball bearing inside it rattle when you shake it ? the cap should breath as well so check if that's blocked if not suspect excess crankcase pressure possably due to piston ring blowby? compression test will show if thats a problem, i take it the oil level is OK and not overfull ?

If you refer to the valve between engine block and intake manifold I had one completely worn out, tickling and leaking oil and pressure: replace it
