Front brake pipe broken -> all brakes gone

Hi


1995 2.5 di non abs model. Today i was at mot brake test and co drivers side brake pipe broked inside engine compartment.


Thats not so new but all brakes was gone then. Brake pedal was full loose and there were 0% hydraulic brakes.



How this can be possible? I renew pipe at mot test yard and brakes are now fine.
