From memory I think it’s looking at the engine from the front the left hand pipe goes from the bottom of the heater to the steel pipe in the bottom hose and the heater pipe from the front of the engine that goes round the rocker box goes to the top pipe on the heater matrix.

It’s the one on the front of the head and goes round the rocker bot and is 3/4 inch od the one that goes to the expansion tank is smaller diameter and a bleed pipe .

My mk3 had one T in the top hoses and one in the bottom hose of the heater matrix lines they had just cut both hoses and put the T in t them.

I wanna make so that same hose goes thru diesel heater and then goes thru heater core and warms cab. I use blower fan to warm cab and melt windows before start

T is fine but i prepare -20-30c degs so i need it to work most efficient possible. Usually all kind of t joints or three hose water valves reduce heater core power
