1995 Transit Insulation

Postby jeffrey1982 » Fri Sep 17, 2021 6:58 pm

Hello,

I have a 1995 Ford transit LWB high (fiber glass) top banana engine.

I believe my van used to be an abundance. It’s been converted into a camper by the previous owner and I was wondering if anyone new how well insulated it would have been from the factory.

No new insulation has been added but there is a layer of rubbery hard material covering the full van (this would have been from the factory) no new insulation has been added behind or in front of this. I have included an image below.

I have included an image below.

Thanks

Ben

My campervan ex ambulance is 4 years older than yours so may be different - it appears to have fibreglass loft type insulation behind the inside panels including roof, probably about an inch of it. So reasonably insulated. If its been a cold night when camping in it we put on the Propex blown air heater for a few minutes - it soon warms up.
