I was interested in the possibility of installing the rear axle MK6 and MK7 on my MK3 instead of the type 34 axle.
The MK6 axis with drum brakes and narrow springs becomes, but it is necessary to shorten the propeller shaft.
The MK7 axle with five stud disc brakes can also be installed, but it will require major alterations.
It will be necessary to change or alter the platforms for the springs and shorten the propeller shaft.
I wanted to replace an axle with a gear ratio of 4.56 for a faster one, but the replacement will cost about $ 700 in Ukraine.
