Heater mk5

Hi all,lhow do I get to the regulator at the back of the heater switch on my mk5 ?
Need to fit new cable, Haynes manual useless

you need to take the cowling around the steering column off, undo the 2 bolts underneath that keep the column up, 4 screws on speedo surround, 2 screws on radio surround, pull radio surround off, unplug radio/clock etc - that gives you space to work.

Undo the 2 screws under the heater controls, then there is a single one at the top - where you have just removed the radio panel. unclip the cables from the heater box ends, unclip the power cables and the controls come loose and out of the hole where the radio was
