immobiliser issue

Hi all, i have a petrol smiley yr 2000, that has error code 16 flashing from the immobiliser, does anyone no where to start looking to try to fix it?

1-6 is faulty communication between the PATS module and the ECU.

Check everything is plugged in properly, and take the PATS module out, open it and make sure its not water damaged

Hi all,

I have tried everything that has been advised and i still cannot get my van started, does anyone live near Lutterworth in Leicestershire that could come to my house and look in to this issue, i will obviously pay you, i have even thought of giving up and selling it which i really do not want to do.
