Commodore V6 engine in a MK5?

Postby Grasshopper » Mon May 02, 2022 10:49 am

Hi,
I bought a 2.5l DI auto that was running badly. I rebuilt the engine (all pushrods were bent like bananas!) and now the engine cranks but won't fire.I've replaced so many parts, but still nothing. I'm at my wits end, and think it may be the ECU, but could be a solenoid in the pump. I've had several 'mechanics' out to look at it, but apart from me being poorer, nothing changed, they had no clue. I have managed to buy 2 ECUs that don't fit though.
Has anyone got any information on putting a V6 VN Holden Commodore engine in? I'm sure I read something about that on this forum and now can't find it. I'm in Australia, so these cars are plentiful.
Thanks for your time.

Apologies for late reply, but I bought a Bosch pump and system from New Zealand. And the van still won't fire. Sigh.
