Mk5 Transit - Multiplug For Rev Counter

Postby PIO » Mon May 02, 2022 9:04 pm

Hi All.

Putting a Mk5 Rev Clock Cluster into my Mk5 Camper. My Multiplug is a low series loom and therefore does not have the wire/connector for the Rev Clock.

Any trick for getting/inserting the metal terminal into the multiplug to run the Rev Clock.

Don't suppose anyone has a spare multiplug for a Rev Clock Cluster that don't want.

Much appreciated.

Michael.

The top of the multiplug pops off easily, all you need is a crimp with a bit of wire on to attach your wire from the alternator to. If your clocks have a bulb you don't use and the wire is in place for it (eg engine warning light when you have a Bosch pump) just swap its position. Push it out from the bottom, you'll then have to bend back the little tag in the middle that holds it in place.

Thanks a Mil Mat...

Much appreciated.

Tried before to remove one but perhaps a little bit more pressure from the bottom will shift it out.

I'll try that.

Thanks
