Hi,
I am having a problem with my 1997 Ford Transit Smiley 2.5 TD. Its intermittent so the van will sometimes start and runs fine. However more and more often when I try to start it the immobiliser light rapid flashes and the gives fault code 32.
I have done a bit of reading on this (extremely useful) forum and have checked the little brown relay and fuse in the box under the brake servo and I can feel that activating when I turn the key ( it clicks across whether the immobiliser has activated or not). I have had a look at the PATS behind the glovebox and everything looks ok but I cant access the box to pull the connector to check the pins look ok. I have pulled the connector on the PCM and looks good. When the immobilser issue occurs I don't have the red engine management light but when the van does start I do.
Does anyone have any ideas or advice? I am happy to pay for someone to fix this if anyone knows of anyone in the Worcestershire area/
Many Thanks
Dave
