MK5 2.5 TD 100 EPIC Limp mode

Postby x0r » Mon Aug 15, 2022 2:20 pm

Hi,

After a timing belt change by a mechanical workshop, my transit camper seems to be in limp mode (max speed 80 km/h or 50 mph on a flat road).
I managed to read and reset fault codes with the Forscan Lite apps on Andoid with a vGate iCar Pro ODB dongle (I tried several ELM327 before findind a working one).

I have the P1178 Bolt-up limit code. The bolt-up angle given is +2 degrees.
I also have the P1252 and P1254 errors : seems to be linked with the accelerator pedal kickdown switch.

Can the P1178 put the transit into limp mode with "only" 2 degrees of difference ?
Could it be linked with the P1252 and P1254 by pure coincidence ?

Thanks for your help

1178 will put the vehicle in to limp at 2 degrees...
