1998 Transit MoHo Engine Issues

Postby pudska » Sun Sep 04, 2022 11:40 am

New member and in need of help please.

I have a 1998 2.5TD Transit Motorhome (Chassis No. WF0AXXGBVAVR68050) and The electric part of the EGR valve has failed so I'm searching for a replacement (new or used )the original part No. is – 7095098 and the manufacturing No. is - 95VB-9E882-AA Does anyone have one or know where I can get one please? even a pattern part will do. I did try EGR valve part No. 88034 looks exactly the same but the fixing bolts don't match up.
Thanks

Just blank the EGR off, it won't cause limp mode - just put the engine management light on for 5 seconds on start up

It will marginally increase nitrous oxide emissions, but will reduce particulate/smoke emission.

Particulate/Smoke emissions are what are measured at MOT, so it will be better from MOT perspective

Throw the Lucas Epic and fit a mechanical injector pump. Simple.
The first Mk 6 mechanical TDDI, giving electronics the finger, since April 2013

Perfection is reached, not when there's nothing left to add, but when there's nothing left to remove.
