Speedometer needle at 200 km/h

Postby Sinisha » Tue Jan 03, 2023 4:00 pm

Hi

After removing instruments panel I noticed that needle shows 200 km/h. It went back and stopped at this point. Should I move it to the 0 when attach the cable or it will do that by itself?

I have had this when the speedo gets knocked... just flick the needle back over and it should be fine

OK, I sorted it out.
Installed rev counter in the middle (no watch in my case), cleaned and polished glass (one of the former owners glued a little round mirror above place for the watch), install green LEDs.
Does anyone can tell me rpm/speed in 5th speed? Diff is 4,63. At 2krpm speed is 80 km/h, at 3krpm speed is 120km/h.

Need the tyre size and gearbox model to work this out. When I calibrated my rev counter I did it at idle. Should be about 800rpm.

I don't meant actual speeds, but what instrument shows to you ....
