Door/ignition key

Postby Willienelson » Sat Feb 04, 2023 7:36 pm

Hi

Our van has only one door/ignition key, does anyone know the best place to have a key cut in the north west?
Does anyone know if Timpsons do the programming service for these keys?

Thanks
Willie

Timpsons or any good auto locksmith should be able to cut and clone your key (the immobiliser chip needs cloning)
No fob on a mk5; central locking, if fitted, was operated by the key in the door lock.

1997 Mk5 SWB 115 Minibus 70ps Di (Gone, but not forgotten!)
2004 Mk6 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.0 TDDi - Vantunered (Also gone)
2008 Mk7 SWB T280 Medium Roof 85PS 2.2 TDCi - Also Vantunered

FYI timpsons were really good, did a key for me whilst I waited. £70 but worth it for peace of mind .
