Mk5 windscreen loose at bottom

Postby gringo » Sun Feb 05, 2023 11:54 pm

My windscreen on my Mk5 has come loose at the bottom and corners, I can lift it up.
Is it a matter of taking it off and rebonding it back in place ?? Or a safer bet to silicon all round on the outside leaving it in place once I remove the rubber trim ??
Thanks

personly i'd rebond it, or at the very least seal it with sikaflex or similar not just normal silicon :)

it should really be taken out and re stuck using a suitable adhesive (not silicone!)

Just hope it’s not rotted out at the bottom and that’s why it’s loose.
