extremely cheap body panels for MK5 Smileys

Postby weseeyou » Mon Jul 31, 2023 4:36 pm

this past 2x weeks there have been a load of body repair panels on ebay for the lowest prices I have ever seen !

These must be a clearance sale by the sellers ....so when they have gone we will have a hard time trying to source panels for future body restoration/ repair jobs.

So buy them quickly whilst there are still some left and store them for future repairs

Search ebay for Ford Transit mk5 panels and you should see most of them

I suspect that this fire sale might be something to do with the extended London Ulez . None of us will be able to travel anywhere soon without paying for the privilege

Diesel Smileys haven't been welcome in our glorious capital since the implementation of the original LEZ in 2012, when euro 3 became the minimum standard for commercial diesels.
I had to get rid of both my vans and buy the Mk6 because of the London LEZ. It was £100 for the privilege of driving a non-compliant vehicle in the zone back then, but as cars were unaffected, no-one kicked off about it.

yeah i'm very glad that i don't live in london or Bristol .
When you think about all the pollution that farmers, manufacturers and Water Authorities and others vent into our air and chuck into our rivers and sea without penalty or restriction .....
its always the bloke in the street that gets to pay the price .

The current outrage in London cites that as Heathrow is firmly inside the new ULEZ, how come they won't charge the airports for their pollution, but then Mayor Khant is probably well provided for by the airport authorities.
To take or collect anyone from Heathrow after the end of August, it will cost me £12.50 ULEZ plus £5 to drop off or collect, which is nearly as much as the annual VED on my car

The problem with these cost is people will pay it so they the powers that be can keep increasing the cost, the french would be revolting (in more ways then one) over it, I’d be interested in getting a pollution test machine and just see what the biggest pollutants are, bet public transportation is higher that most vehicles.

Hopefully the group called Blade Runners will end up killing the ULEZ . They are actively destroying the ULEZ tax cameras . Not before time eh

They painted one camera in my area and sticky taped some card over another, then stuck a cardboard sign saying they had done it, more wolfie smith than baader meinhof  both cameras where "fixed" within 12 hours.

The serious ones are using an angle grinder to cut the poles down. I wonder if they can be fixed as fast as they're broken :?

Does it really matter how long it takes? they will be fixed and the group will give up, seen it all before when speed cameras became a thing :? THE only way the ULEZ will go away is by legislation and even then i doubt a new mayor will make a differance, it's not like polititians are known for lying to get in then going back on thier word is it

For the record i agree air polution is an issue, the way they are tackling it is what i dont agree with, the current tosspot shear cahn goes on about getting rid of older polluting vehicals then in the next breath proudly proclaims hows he built unpteen hundred thousand new homes in london and so brought in hundreds of thousands of new cars with only slightly cleaner engines whilst moaning how west london is the worst area for polution totaly ignoring the fooking great airport in the middle of it which according to him isn't an issue  but then us motorists are easy targets, we do drive around with easy to spot ID tags on us AND what happens when euro 7 comes in? do we all have to get yet another new vehical? if i could i'd have a leccy vehical like a shot but i can't :(
