EPIC Fuel pump

Hello everybody, i have a problem with my epic fuelpump dsa947 also it gives code 62 camshaft position sensor problem, how can i solve this?

cam or camshaft? I bet its cam.

Cam position sensor is the timing cam in the pump - and normally means you need to fit another pump (or convert to bosch)

hello Minormad thanks voor the replay i have cleant up the contacts on the pump and the ecu put inn 0.5l minerale 2 stroke oil and now drove 10 miles and the
ecu licht went out an it seems its ok now is this possible?

Yes

Any corrosion/poor contact on the connector can cause issues.

2 Stroke Oil will lubricate, and in some circumstances, unstick the cam in the pump

oke thanks for the reply minnormatt i think that this was the case here, if you ever come across a dsa 947 fuelpump i will be interested i have a ford transit camper with automatic gearbox so the conversion tho bosch is not possible (they say) and according tho jour list only the dsa 947 will fit so a spare would be very nice by the way
i am from the netherlands so my english will be a bit odd i hope you kan forgive me for that

Being a mk4 - bosch conversion is possible

hello minormatt i have seen the conversion set they explicid rule out automatic gearbox are they wrong?

If you have a DSA947 you can replace with bosch - even with an auto.

Anything else you cannot fit a bosch on automatic as gearbox is ECU controlled.

In your particular example the gearbox is not ECU controlled. Therefore bosch can be fitted.

In other vehicles this is not the case.

hello minnormatt thanks for the reply i considder this as good news are there any isseus in case i do this conversion? loose off hp for example or wil i not notice any diverence at this point everything works fine i want to wait until the Epic braeks down and than do the conversion what do you think?
