Mk 5 throttle replacement

Postby Petal » Thu Feb 01, 2024 7:56 pm

Looking for help to remove throttle pedal on 1998 transit autosleeper 2.5 td . If I partly depress the throttle pedal when I turn the engine on it ticks over fine but no response from the pedal. If I turn the engine on without depressing the throttle it revs very high until I turn engine off or unplug the plug behind the pedal . I think it is late mk5 so electric throttle with one plug. Engine management light also on .Iv been told need to change throttle pedal.
Iv managed to undo the bolts in the engine which attached the pedal at the bulkhead , iv unplugged the one plug behing the pedal but struggling to pull the pedal off , I'm not sure if it has another bolt etc inside the cab thag i havent seen. Iv managed to source a new throttle pedal . Thank you Dawn

IIRC there are two bolts on the engine bulkhead and another one inside nearer to the floor.
