1990 2.5Di Mk3 Transit 190 LWB GTW

Postby jww9999 » Tue Jul 30, 2024 7:34 pm

Hi all,

I'm currently watching a G-reg 2.5Di Mk3 Transit 190 LWB Camper with twin rear tyres and a GVW of 3,500kg.
However, I am unsure what the GTW is for a Mk3 190 LWB like this one.
I am aware that it is less than the Mk4/5 Transit 190 LWB's GTW of 5,500kg as it changed from 1992-onwards.
Given that I plan to trailer my 1924 Morris to various vehicle/steam rallies etc., I am keen to work out how much headroom/leeway I'd have if I was to go for a Mk3 190 LWB like this one.

Thanks in advance :)

Just ask the seller for a photo of the weight plate and you'll know for certain.

I did.. and they haven't been able to get to the van yet so in the meantime I decided it was a good idea to ask on here.
Will message them again though :) .
