2.5di Banana engine replacement pumps.

Postby spacecabbie » Wed Aug 14, 2024 2:07 pm

So I have a Ford Transit 190FE 4hb engine (1999)
the pump is broken (VE R 415) (0 460 414 085)
What can I replace this pump with ?
I got a lucas cav pump of a 1.8 endura de (DPC 8448B060A) can this be adapted ?
Are any pumps in the 0 460 414 xxx series compatible ?
Looking for a way to identify potential replacements.

I know that one Russian guy installed a Bosch multi-plunger pump from Mitsubishi L-200 on the Transit.
That's what he wrote on the forum.
Surely, you can install the DPS pump you mentioned, but it's better to buy a Bosch VE.
For example, 0 460 414 144;145;146;153. And a few others.
The only problem is that there are few of these pumps left in good condition.

Well buying a new one is better obviously, But as you said I can't find any there are a few available but they are asking like about €1,000 This is not worth it for the whole truck. So if you know where I can get one or spare parts I'm open.

If you can work is it then just a swap or do I need to make special adjustments.
