motorhome called Norbert

Hi everyone, I'm Emma, and I'm a numpty!

Yesterday I bought a motorhome called Norbert. He has a brand new MOT and he's all welded solidly.
I couldn't understand why I can't get info on the chassis type and whether I can add seatbelted seats.
So it's dawned on me that this isn't a motorhome, it's a van conversion. It's the body of a camper Ford transit 120 popular van 2496cc 1990 (probably flatbed).
This is why the HPI said transit, and this is why the seller didn't have the logbook.
Norbert has a leaky roof and doesn't like the cold apparently, as he doesn't want to start today either.
Can anyone tell me what chassis type this will be? Can I mount rear seats on it solidly?
Can I add power steering or can I only go to Bath and back a lot?!
I'm comfortable with it if it's a transit van solid chassis, but if it's a flatbed without anchor points I can't safely add seatbelted seats on it.
Does the brand new (7th January) MOT with no advisories mean that the house won't fall off and is safe?

I'm comfortable to do fixing up on a converted van as long as it's safe, but if there's a risk then I'll cut my losses and sell as is (with honesty).

It will have a steering rack been a 120 it’s a easy conversion just get the pump rack and pipe work and swap it over.
As for how safe it is maybe worth taking to a mot garage and letting them do a pre mot .
Get a set of seats out of a bus with the seat belts built in to them or the twin passenger seats out of a mk 6/7or 8 with the seat box and bolt them to the floor with a large spreader plates underneath the floor assuming the floor is in a good condition.
The di is usually a very good starting engine if it has a good battery and starter motor and turning over fast enough even when the weather has been as cold as it is at the moment a lot depends on the mileage and the service history it’s always difficult to tell without really seeing the van to be sure the only certain answer to your questions is it’s easy to fit the power steering

Hi Emma and Norbert, welcome to the forum.

A pic of Norbert will tell us what he is.
The starting is harder to solve without more information, as said above.
If you have some brake cleaner, a quick scoosh down the inlet manifold, whilst cranking, might be enough to get him going for now.
