Propshaft missing parts

Hi, I have a mk3 with an overdrive box, I'm missing the sleeve from the rear section of the propshaft, exposing the splines. Parts 14 and 15 from this diagram: https://www.fordopedia.org/parts-catalo ... -mk3/C1.11

The part numbers are not listed in the catalog, anyone know what these are called and how i could get one?

I ask cos the mot guy always complains about this and threatens to fail me.

I've drawn a blank with this so I'm planning on the following solution instead:

I've never seen one like that before, all the ones I've seen have the sliding spline section going the opposite way towards the back. But your solution looks good and hopefully it will do the job.

That pic is from a leyland daf lf which uses the same type of bearing but they use a rubber boot instead of the sleeve so i figure it will work OK?

This is on mine, the fat bit is to the axle and slides in the smaller bit to the front.

Think i would be going with a bit of anything tubular shaped or wrappable, i had lying around and cable ties to hold in place.

Thanks all, when i get round to pulling the prop off I will see what works best and report back.
