MK5 Epic Injection Pump to Zexel/Bosch Inquiry

Can anyone please advise me on if the Zexel Injection diesel fuel pump from a 1988 4D56 Engine 2.5td Mitsubishi Pajero would be a suitable fit for my leaking Epic injection pump conversion on my 1997 2.5td 5 speed transit please i understand i would still need the other conversion parts pedal etc etc. From what i have found on google it says the Zexel pump in this model Pajero is a replica of the Bosch VE pump any confirmation on this please as i may have access to one in good condition. @MinorMatt where are you based? I have a Ford 2.5 TDi Box Bus 1998 that has just developed a EML and gone into limp mode. The garage this morning said they couldn't help as it's so old and they don't have the equipment to read the fault codes.

I've spent thousands over the years on making it mechanically sweet in many ways, so I'm reticent to write it off.
Your help would be appreciated
