Hi everyone , First of all i know this is a transit forum so hopefully i can still get a reply here , Had mark 5 smileys in the past but trying to get a half decent mk 5 luton or even lwb high top is really hard plus getting spare parts isnt so easy anymore , so im looking at a 2005 lwb ducato 2.8 jtd 91,00 miles really clean,
what id like to know is with the last mk5 which had a epic fuel pump the lack of sulphur in modern diesel fuel meant the pump wasnt getting lubricated, and the pump started leaking, tried adding two stroke to the tank when topping up but made no difference. Seemingly this doesnt happen with bosch pumps ? anyone know the reason for this ? And is the lack of sulphur in modern diesel likely to cause me a problem if i buy the ducato pump amp and injectors ? Dont want too buy this ducato and then find out that modern diesel still isnt suitable for a 2005 van [ with bosch pump ] And i end up with fuel pump and injector problems again . thanks in advance for replies.
