What is the sensor in the top of the airbox

Postby mk3_wrc » Thu Oct 02, 2025 11:46 am

2.5 di turbo, epic.
There is a sensor in the top of the airbox, what does this do?

I'm looking to fit a smaller airbox (or many a cone) to allow space to fit a diesel heater where the 2nd battery was, but there is a sensor in the top of the airbox (I think?). It goes up to some other electrical component.

So presumably this is something I would have to incorporate into anything I concoct

Ideally - but you could leave it connected near the intake

Might end up with a bend of silicone pipe somewhere it can go in. Will have a faff at the weekend. Keen to avoid a cone, just need to move the airbox forward about 4"
