Hello.
Maybe somebodt knows about this.
On My Mk5 1995 thengine keeps getting warm.
Replaced coolant temperature sensor.
Replaced temperature needle (Dashboard) indicator sensor.
Replaced the water pump
Checked the relays. Both High speed and low speed relay sensors=Working fine.
Checked the fuse= Fine.
Unplugged the coolant temperature sensor and the fan starts to work (The Cars safe mode)...This makes the car cool down.
Checked and testet all the wiring to and after. each plug. seems fine.
I remember at trip to Norway. Every time the car showed signs of heating up. The fan would kick in and the car cooled down. Like it suppose to.
One day driving (not in Norway) and by a coincident I was looking at the needle on the temp display. And out of nowhere the needle dropped to cold/zero just like that.
Since then I replaced that sensor as mentioned. And the needle started to work again. Now it shows the car is heating and the fan is not kicking in.
Anybody that might know what is going on?
The engine is a 2.0 DOHC petrol.
Thanks.
