If so, any advice or tips?
It looks a bit impossible to me! - Perhaps a good bit of welding is the answer!
Alternatively, could I take the rails off the floor and use them as clamps to attach over the lips on either side of the new seat? (as it's a box arrangement which should bolt through the floor).
