hiya, does anyone know if there is anyone who does fibreglass wings for the smiley or has anyone done the bolt on conversion with the steel ones? any pics of either would be great. cheers

I dont know about fibreglass, but there is no reason why you shouldnt fix the repair wings on with bolts/self tappers

hiya, ive read in the forum somewhere that the front wings are ok to be bolted on{ mot wise} because they are not structural, is this a fact? cheers

With metal that thin.... they aint going to be structural :lol:

Being a Fibreglass-Moulder I would be interested to learn if there is a good market for GRP wings and what price would transit owners be happy to pay?

i dont think there'd be much call for mk3/4/5 wings but mk1/2 wings would be more like it - but you can allready get them from smith&deakin

but what about mk1/2 back doors :?:

and bodykits, arches etc. :idea:

when i say much call for .. i mean they are cheep in steel you can get them new for £30 ish and undesealed properly they last years so i cant see any point in getting fiberglass ones - where as mk1/2 wings are so expensive nowadays and fibreglass ones would be a good option

Fiberglass panels would be ideal if you were building a racing Transit and wanted to keep the weight down.

- they rot like mad and good ones are expensive and hard to find these days :!:
