I had a similar problem when i fitted mk3 front suspention to my mk1 camper - i couldn't fit the mk1 wheels because of the offset!! :( I only wanted mabe 5mm more, i was going to use a 1/4" flat plate and profile it out with an oxy cutter!!! then drill the holes - i was unsure about the wheel balancing! :? - but its close to the center of the wheel so mabe it would be ok , but if not i'd have some made at a machine shop!!!
But in the end i sold the camper to BobS without doing the job so he's gonna sort it now!! :D
Also longer studs would be required but there easly available and cheep!!

What thickness are you looking to get?
:D

NOT TO SURE ON THE THICKNESS , THE WHEELS I HAVE ARE 6 J - 16" ,

I JUST WANT TO BRING THEM AS CLOSE TO THE EDGE OF THE WHEEL ARCHES AS POSS ,

Yeah i see what you mean!! remember with the back ones you can only go as wide as the sliding door!! :D

With the fronts i'd be tempted to buy some bigger studs and pack it out with some washes or temperary shims just to see how far you can go before the wheels catch on the arches!!! just to get the measurement before having some spacers made!! :D

I bet grey van man would be interested in a set too!!! :D

The down side to this would be a slight increased wear on the botton ball joints but you can get them new for £9 each so it's not a major problem!! :D

THATS A GOOD POINT ABOUT THE BACK WHEELS STICKING OUT TO FAR COZ OF THE SLIDING DOOR , NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT ,

DO YOU LUKE OR ANYONE KNOW OF ENGINEERING COMPANIES THAT WOULD PRODUCE THESE , ONCE I AM SURE ABOUT SIZES ETC...

You could always space the door runner out slightly.

Yeah mate see my post on wheel adapters!! - there's a local machine shop i use through work!! but to be honest you should be able to find one local to you that would be able to knock a set out easy enough!!! :D
Have a look through the yellow pages!! i'd have thought youd pay about £30 - £45 for a set depending on the thickness!! :D
