I don't know wether i should have done it but i put my hand over the air intake and it started. still miffed to what the problem would be?

Rev while not in gear ok. as soon as i pull away she holds back. as soon as i came to a hill she was down to 30mph and was struggling. Has anyone got anymore ideas. i have had the fuel stop solonoid checked and is ok. i did notice some diesel surrounding the injectors is this normal.
