Intercooler wing vent

Postby fastmower » Sun Aug 16, 2009 6:09 pm

Hi all,

Could anyone with an intercooled Mk5 or one with aircon and the vent in the nearside wing have a measure up and let me know where the vent sits in the wing. Sorted the vent itself which was less than I expected from Frauds, but after hearing what someone on here paid for a genuine Ford wing with a hole in it, I think I'll buy a normal wing and make me own hole!

Cheers,

Andy

Hello mate - it was 22 quid plus VAT from the dealers here in Lancaster - though having said that my mate who owns a local car mendin' spot actually ordered it - so he may get a bit of trade discount. I can check with him when I pick the vent up if you like (and get you one if you wish)

Cheers,

Andy

Hi Andy, thanks for that I thought it would be a lot dearer than that. I have a few jobs to do on the van first. But it will be something I will get at a later date. Should be able to get trade as well.
Again many thanks

Steve.

Yeah me too chap - me and my mate at work were having a bet between ourselves about it and we reckoned it was going to be 30 something plus the VAT - so was quite a nice surprise when my man sent me the price. Don't get many like that when the dealers are involved do you?!

Have you got the part number for the wing vent? I think they were only fitted to the 115bhp turbos - mines a 100 but would be a nice styling feature 8)

The wing vent was fitted to turbo models with Aircon. or turbo models with the intercooler from 15/10/1996 to the end of production (15/8/2000) :!:

FINIS Code; 1023154 :D
They retail for £34 inc
