Diesel Pump Leak

I have a 1992 Transit 2.5D that has a fuel leak from the pump. It appears to be coming from the arm to the accelerator linkage. I can see a small o ring where the fuel is coming from. Anyone help me with a cure please?

I have just had a leaking pump on my 1995 transit but mine was from the shaft seals, My mechanic notised it when he was doing the cambelt, the leak stopped after a minute or so. The pumps can be reconditoned but has to be done at a specialist. It was not cheap to do but worth it for peace of mind as a pump fdrom the scrappy could go at anytime.

i have done this before on a renault clio diesel all you do is this buy a new second hand pump carefully tale off the throttle from the top of the pump unbolt the top cover off the pump and simply sitch over the tops reassemble the throttle and away you go. simple if youre cheeky enough then you can rebuild the pump you bought and take it back to the scrappy and say it leaks diesel everywhere and get your money back no expence then. To recon a diesel pump down here in wales it costs abought five hundred pounds and thats you taking the pump off the engine and drop it off to them, i take all my diesel pumps to be reconditioned and i have never had a problem. I doubt very much if you would get away with swapping the top end of a pump as they are marked up and it will be obvious if the bolts have been out.

The best solution is a recon, failing that a s/h one.
