SPARE WHEEL REMOVAL ON 95 LWB/HTOP PROBLEM.

Postby axzed » Wed Apr 12, 2006 10:35 pm

Hi all. I know u featured this previously but I am still stymied. I can't get a close up of the winder socket. My Ford jack handle has a pyramid profile 'bell' end covering an hexagon socket. It can't couple with the winder mechanism & I concluded that I need a male hexagonal extension, but then again, there's nowhere for a springloaded ball 'catch' to
locate. HELP - Gotta use it on Sat.
ANYONE GOT A REAR DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY? I only require the casting that actuates the locking rods/bolts.
cheers

i have the handle bit you need pm me for more info :D
You only need two tools in life: WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Try locating the handle then give it a hard push or even a tap with a hammer, worked for me, but I now store the spare in the back of the van.
