Hi,

This is from my donor van (A mk5 W reg):

And I'd like to know if the injectors would go into this (A mk5 P reg):

The injectors are shot in the P reg and I'd like to replace with the ones from the W reg if possible. They look the same engine appart from the air filter housing and the W reg has had the EGR mod done to it. The W reg also has a Lucas injection pump, the P reg has a Bosch - shouldn't make a difference should it?

Think you should find the injectors are in the same place and that top engine do you think it could be an old engine put in a new van :?:

Hi,

May be an old engine in a new van but I'm not really bothered as that van is going to be scrapped.

It is exaclty the same engine I think appart from the fuel pump and air filter housing.

Non turbo as well... Injectors should be the same right???

Best bet is to chek the codes on them Minor Matt is an expert on injectors he should be able to advise.

I know the 2nd engine is a 70ps but the first one im not sure

Sorry to bring up an old thread but the top looks like a 70ps so it should be a straight swap.

no, that first pic is the old engine and will have the old type injectors in with the two nuts too bolt them down, the late (slim) bosch are diffrent with one nut to hold them in the head, diffrent pressures-injector pipes -and if i remember right four hole and five hole nozzle (as the crown of the piston's are diffrent) and the late engine will sound less noisey and smoother. :wink:

Pics are good. I'd like to produce a whole set of all the different engines fitted as standard to Transits for reference.

The first engine is from a mk4 or very early 5 look at the thermostate housing early type the later as in pic 2 has the screw type

late are bakerlite, early have got cav pump with coldstart pull-cable
