petrol to diesel

Hi, im a new user of the forum, i hope you can help.
My dad is putting his 2.5d engine into my 2.0 petrol. Both are LWB 1991 vans and at the moment things seem to match up ok.

Can anyone tell me if the wire from the loom which goes onto the carb will go onto the diesel pump solonoid?

We are novices at engine swapping but my little horse box needed some more torque!

i "think" thats the case .... but you'll need someone else to confirm it .... i swapped 2,4 diesel for 2.5di, so i didnt have that particular question/problem

you just need an ignition controlled live so that wire will be fine for the job

check you have live supply when the ignition is on and dead when ignition off. as motorwise said above
