Battery upgrade?

Postby Eggski » Tue Nov 24, 2009 2:11 pm

Hi peeps

I've got a V reg 190 crew cab tipper that i've been having a few problems with, just done the EGR valve mod & that has improved the throttle & seems to have stoped the black smoke, gona get the belt changed soon & see if that helps aswell.

My question is though, whats the best battery to fit now winter is here? Mine looks a little old, I havnt tested it but it does drag a little when starting so was wondering to get a new one or not.

Try changing your oil first ;)

Battery should be an 096 Ideally with a CCA of 650A or above
Lucas Laser 2000/IDS
95 Pre Production DRW TD Highcube
95 Hallmark
96 150 100PS LWB Hi-Top
96 Autosleeper Duetto
06 Mk7 (scrap)
09 140PS T330S 2.2

Gaffa tape is like the force, it has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together

It already had that, serviced it 6 weeks or so ago to get it ready for winter

A new battery gives peace of mind, even if old one is still ok. You can always keep it on trickle and use for jump starter.

Where in country are you?
