Hi guys/gals,
Petrol running ok(rough idle) but lpg seems like a misfire,(rough idle) and rough driving, is LPG on limp home mode?
Six mounths on,
Running with petrol treatment all the time. little better
I have fitted a new maff, no difference,£40 ,ebay
A new CAT, the old one was empty, £100
As I renew the petrol usually gets better! But I can feel that petrol is not 100%. top speed down from 115 to 100mph
I am getting a squeal from the EGR valve, From my readings, this can be a major cause of the gunk in the throttle housing.
Would it cause misfire rough driving especially in lpg.
I was doing 95 in petrol switched to lpg it slows down gradually to say 85mph. less evidence of rough handling, but lack of power torque
on the hills. nothing to different. (it has never been a smooth change over from petrol to lpg, switching)
I am thinking EGR and idle valve. Their is a small oil leak at the back of the engine top half.
I am losing coolant, oil cap looks clean. I had drained the radiator years ago, I over tightened the tap, I think it still leaks a job for the spring.
Trying to get readings from ECU, laptop is down. What I did get was a 18% long term trim value. What does this mean?
I will put my PC in the van and try to get values from new software today.
The vialle system piggybacks the ford ECU but takes reading from sensors that it needs. My thinking is that one or more of these sensors maybe down.
These are great vans, I would hate to lose her. Any suggestions welcome (sorry for my poor english, I'm a geordie!)
