Side door rear latch weak?

Postby CaptiV8ted » Sun Dec 06, 2009 10:46 pm

If I open my side sliding door on a hill and put it right back into its sprung latch, it will not hold on even the slightest hill. Is this how they are or is mine fooked? It'd be nice to have a stronger latch, it's like a bloody guillotine on a steep slope!

I have a short piece of 3x2 that I keep inside the door for this very reason, wedged in when door is open, taken out when the door is shut, very basic but it works , Oh, and for the back doors I use one of my spirit levels, hey ho, transits, dont you just luv um
