Laws are really doing my head in...
Assuming I have correct driving licence entitlements blah, blah, blah... What is the max tow weight I can pull with my Transit mk5 80?
Also what would be the combined weight with trailer and van fully loaded?
Really confusing to work out........

The GTW of the van is the overall weight
now I believe how you balance that out is up to you but remember to find the weight of the unladen so you can load the correct weight

whats the max train weight and unladen weight?
I think they are about 1800 and 3500 respectively?
Max tow weight -
Assume the van is 1800kg unladen and the fuel/driver is 120kg so the kerb weight is 1920kg.
The max gross weight you can tow is 3500kg - 1920kg = 1580kg.
But thats with the van empty
Maximum combined weight of the van and trailer combo is 3500kg

If the van is loaded up then i think pretty much nothing more substantial than a camping trailer would be able to be towed.Larger vans 150 - 190 lwb able to tow pretty substantial trailers.
