HEATED FRONT SCREENS

Why doesnt any other mainstream manufacturer except Ford fit heated front screens?

I seem to have a few Fords around me at the moment (daughters Puma, firms van) fitted with these screens & they are absolutely fantastic to use. Start the car, press a button & the ice is gone! Then drive with the heater warming my toes & if the screen gets steamy, just press the button.

One of the best features a car can have. So much so that I've just spent a LOT of money to have one fitted to my old Tranny Tourneo.

Company's who all have links with Ford, along with Jaguar, Volvo & Mazda.

you can get a heated for any car if you have the money.

ive seen them in renault clio mk2, merc sprinter, mk1 escort, vw beetle and so on

it is strange that they come in bmw minis but not in any other high bmw at the mo.

I've had heated front screens in a couple of Renault Masters and an E36 BMW 325 Coupe as factory fitted options

Merc offer them as an option on the Sphincter and the Shito

When I needed one for my MK5, I just phoned my insurance, told them my heated screen was broke and the nice man from auto glass fitted it for the £50 excess, He did say 'oh you dont have a heated screen in', and I just smiled, gave him a cup of tea and a tenner to himself
