New member questions

Postby 62mph » Sun Dec 20, 2009 4:49 pm

Alright guys - Firstly let me say sorry for these questions as i'm sure you get them all the time

I have been reading through some of the topics on here but am not sure if I am looking at the right stuff, so im hoping someone can help me!

The stuff I know about my transit is..

Its done 105 thousand miles
Its an ex BT S Reg 120 SWB (with 70bhp I think?!) - Does anyone know the correct/exact model number?
It sits nicely at 60-65mph on the motorway - is this about right?
It takes about 62 litres of diesel to fill up and does between 380-410 miles per tank - does this sound right?
I flush and change the oil every 10,000 miles, the oil air and fuel filters get changed once a year - is this frequent enough?

Also i'm sure ive seen somewhere people giving their reg plate and chassis number - What check is this?

Is there anything basic I can change on the van to make it more econominal/faster etc?

Many thanks - and sorry again
