Santa has very kindly got me a chunky steering wheel for my (99) mk5 camper. The van has a thin rimmed jobby at the moment and I've been after a thick wheel for a while.
Well, I've just been out to fit the new one and it won't go on
The column has a master spline, the wheel doesn't. The wheel also doesn't have a cut out for the indicator self cancelling cam to fit in. Am I doomed or do I need to swap the upper column to an earlier one? I have read on here about grinding off the master spline, but what about the indicator??
