It's low mileage and if it has absolutely no rust like you say then that sounds like a fair price but you could probably get that down to £1100 or £1200 if you really haggle with him, does it have any tax/MOT? parts are easy to get hold of and you will find plenty of advice on here :D

They are very noisy, go for a test drive with a mate and try and have a chat, if it has a Bosch injection pump they are good on veg oil. Immobilisers can be a pain, make sure you get the programming key. Make sure it has the tool to let the spare wheel down. I'm sure others will give you some more pointers. What model is it? as this will tell you its load capacity.

the ps numbers are engine output, in very nearly horsepower, your choices are
70 and 76 ps - Non Turbo
85 and 100ps - Turbo.

I would reckon at a guess the one you are lookin at will be a 70ps

When you say no rust crawl underneath and check the rearfloor area and bearers between chassis, most are rotten underneath but can look good from the outside, was under a 2000 year W plate yesterday and its like and old 86 model(rotten) Buyer beware!!!
