Heater motor &controls MK6 into MK5?

How easy is it to retro-fit a MK6 heater motor & circulation controls panel into a MK5?

The distribution control on Pinky is fooked and difficult to turn. I also wanted a 4 speed fan (something I really liked about the MK6 I had).

i fitted the mk6 panel to my dads R reg smiley ok,

the only difference is one side of the speed dial has vacumn controls which you dont need on the mk5(think it was the recurculation side on the MK6)

cant remember having to much trouble with the plug.... but my dads had melted on the mk5... cant remember my memory is terrible.

ah no sorry just remembered i didnt change full panel just the speed selector switch left the old front on, but suppose the cables may interchange still for the other switches
