120 swb problems

Postby kada1980 » Fri May 12, 2006 12:23 am

Hi,

First post around here, great site done a bit of searching.

First problem i've got is lack of power its a 2.5di non banana 93' on a lucas pump, tops out a 55-60mph and is down to second on the hills a right pain, feels like its seriously under fuelling.

I've searched around and found some good advise but nothing really seems to relate to my engine? Swaping the pipe from 4 to 1, i don't seem to have that one, and no egr? The pump seems to have been fiddled with theres a adjusting knob that has a locking plate thats not bolted down, is this for the advance retard?

I've tried running with the fuel cap off to eliminate vacuum in the tank and its still the same, i've tried injector cleaner and also doing a running bleed, this felt better but soon felt the same as usual.

Any ideas would be a great help i'd love to get it on the road soon as and start to enjoy the van.

Cheers

Karl

Have you changed the fuel filter?
