mk 5 high top lwb leaking

my high top lwb 1999 smiley face has a leak around the top right hand corner of the windscreen. i had the same problem with a 1995 model. Both vans have big heavy roof racks on them. if i get rid of the roof rack and re seal the gutter will it help and what sealer should i use? i think it is coming through the gutter and running down the inside front corner post and inside of door rubber. the actual windscreen is ok i think

Is it the roof or the screen that's leaking?

try peelin back the rubber then applyin purflex then stick rubber down onto purflex
