The only way to repair is to replace them with new arches.

Good advice given there, don't even bother filling them as it will rust through quick time especially this time of year with all the road salt about.

I have just bought 2 new front arches and step sections from www.carz2.co.uk and was pretty cheap @ £38 for the parts! I have the same problem and although they wasnt too bad i decided to leave the gob alone and just replace them!! Lasts a lot longer and saves having to redoo them every 6 months!!

What are these ? or do you mean the connect arches ? if so there is a topic in transit talk about them.

no, not connect ones, couldnt find them on the bay just , but i remember seeing someone supplying grp arches to fit over the top, fitted with glue/ contact adhesive
The more i think about it, the more I am convincing myself to cut the old one off and weld anew on in, proper job

If you're going to do it - do it properly... Weld nice new ones in  Image That way you can be sure that the rust won't come back so soon  ...hopefully...

If you can, they are quite pricey... If yours are not rusted alltogether, might be worth repairing them with some steel - look in members progress reports
